A financial operation of global scale
A global financial institution, with corporate operations in Mexico and strict international IT, security and compliance standards, undertook a major modernization project of its network and data center infrastructure.
The objective was clear: to ensure the continuity of critical financial services in an environment of high transactional demand and sustained growth, without interrupting the daily operation of the business.
The challenge included renewing the platform that supports corporate operations, digital channels and sensitive systems, ensuring high availability, low latency and long-term scalability.
When infrastructure reaches its limits
The operation was running at close to 100% of its capacity, with no support for more than 4,000 network points and a data center of more than 45 racks, which resulted:
- Increases from 25% to 40% in incident response times
- Operational risks due to electrical and network peaks
- Severe constraints to future growth
How did ERA solve it?
- Deployed +4,000 certified Cat 6A network points, supporting 10 Gbps, under ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
- We designed and installed a data center with more than 45 cabinets, according to the following standards TIA-942 and RCDD
- We deploy dedicated and redundant N+1 power infrastructure, with rack PDUs and specialized boards.
- We standardize racks, hot/cold aisles, piping and labeling for total traceability.
- We execute the migration without relevant interruptions for critical financial services
What changed for the business
Short term
- Controlled migration without affecting the operation beyond maximum allowable times
- Immediate reduction of network and internal application failures
- Data center energy optimization
Medium term
- +40% operational efficiency of IT equipment
- Up to 60% less time spent on electrical and connectivity incidents
- Available capacity for new digital projects
- Infrastructure aligned with global corporate guidelines
Long term
- Platform prepared for 10-15 years of growth
- Increased availability of critical services
- Sustained savings through improved energy management and preventive maintenance
